I’ve got a brand new game design, that started as a simple Idea: Wine sometimes tastes better or worse the longer it sits depending on the wine. The challenge was to make a simple but deep travel card game that implemented this aspect of wine. I started with 18 cards. Each card is a bottle of wine. Player acquire the wine, by playing against each other trick taking style, but they draft the card they want in that round. No one leaves empty handed, it’s just about preference. then the bottle is placed in your Wine Cellar, sideways, so that the scoring timeline is on top of the card. Each bottle is placed either before or after that bottle and all other bottles after that. Each space in the cellar is labeled 1-8, and scores 1-8 (never duplicating) I’ve playtested it 25+ times and I’m now on version 9. I’m feeling really good about it, and have expanded it to 36 cards and it can now be played 4 players. I’m starting to look for blind playtesters. let me know if this interests you and I can send you the PNP I have so far.
